Pensava office Ubon Ratchathani

Making Pension Frameworks Easier to Follow

Pensava was built on one straightforward idea: that people deserve access to clear, well-organised information about how retirement systems work — without having to navigate dense regulation or rely on guesswork.

How Pensava Came to Be

Pensava started from a conversation in a staffroom in Ubon Ratchathani in 2019. A group of teachers and administrators were trying to work out what their provident fund statements actually meant — not because the information was unavailable, but because it was scattered across several official documents written in dense formal language.

The founders of Pensava — a small team with backgrounds in adult education and HR administration — saw an opportunity to do something straightforward: gather that information, translate it into plain English, and present it in a format that made sense to ordinary people approaching retirement or managing pension paperwork for the first time.

From those early sessions in a rented meeting room, Pensava has grown steadily. We now run regular workshops at our Thanon Maliwan premises, serve HR departments across the Isan region with our onboarding reference kit, and work with individual employees who simply want to feel more informed before speaking to their financial planner or employer.

We're not a financial advisory firm. We hold no regulatory licence to give personal recommendations. What we do is produce well-researched, clearly written educational material — and deliver it in an environment where people feel comfortable asking questions at whatever pace suits them.

Our Values in Practice

Clarity Over Complexity

Every document and session we produce is reviewed for plain language before it reaches participants. If a concept needs more than two sentences to explain, we rewrite it until it doesn't.

Honest About Our Limits

We are careful to explain, in every session, what general information can and cannot do. We actively encourage participants to follow up with licensed advisers for personal decisions.

An Unhurried Pace

Retirement is a topic people often approach with some anxiety. We design sessions to move at a comfortable tempo, with time for questions and reflection built into every format.

Well-Organised Materials

From participant handouts to the HR onboarding kit, every document follows a consistent structure so that information is easy to locate when needed later — not just immediately after the session.

Respectful of All Starting Points

Some participants arrive knowing very little; others come with years of reading behind them. Our sessions are structured so that neither group is left behind or bored.

Rooted in the Region

We work in Ubon Ratchathani and across northeast Thailand. Local context matters to us — working hours, cultural norms and the specific administrative systems used by Thai employers all shape how we present our material.

How We Keep Our Materials Reliable

Annual Content Review

All workshop materials and documentation are reviewed at least once a year against the latest publicly available guidance from Thailand's Revenue Department, Social Security Office and relevant government portals.

External Reviewer Checks

Before publishing new session materials, we ask a licensed practitioner outside our organisation to check for factual accuracy. We do not name them as endorsers — they are reviewers only.

Participant Data Protection

Contact and registration details collected at sessions are stored in Thailand and used only for session administration and follow-up communication. We do not sell or share participant data with third parties.

Post-Session Feedback

Every workshop concludes with a brief written feedback form. We use this to identify areas where explanations were unclear, and revise our session notes accordingly before the next cohort.

Clear Scope Disclosures

Every session opens with a brief statement of scope, reminding participants that Pensava provides general educational information and is not a licensed financial, legal or tax adviser.

Source Transparency

Handouts include a reference list of the official sources used — government portals, revenue department publications, employer federation guidance — so participants know where the information originates and can verify it independently.

Pension Information Support in Northeast Thailand

Pensava operates from Ubon Ratchathani, a city in the northeastern Isan region of Thailand. Our work sits at the intersection of adult education and administrative documentation. The sessions we run are attended by a wide range of people: employees in their forties and fifties who have never had reason to examine how their provident fund works; HR staff who are new to managing pension paperwork for their employer; and international staff based in Thailand who find that the English-language information available on pension frameworks is either very thin or very technical.

Thailand's pension landscape involves several overlapping systems — the Social Security Fund, voluntary provident funds registered under the Provident Fund Act, and individual retirement-focused products. Understanding how these sit alongside each other, what the standard contribution structures look like, and what steps employers typically follow when a staff member leaves or retires is genuinely useful knowledge. Our workshops present this context in a structured way, so that participants can have more productive conversations with their accountants, HR departments and financial planners.

The HR Onboarding Reference Kit addresses a separate but related problem: inconsistency in how pension administration steps are communicated to new HR staff. When procedures are handed on verbally or written up differently by each outgoing employee, small errors accumulate. The kit provides a clear operational baseline that organisations can adapt to their own internal language and processes.

All of this falls within the scope of educational services. We hold no regulatory licence. Everything we produce is framed as general information, and we are straightforward about the fact that individual decisions — about contribution levels, retirement timing, fund selection — require consultation with appropriately licensed professionals.
